Working Student – Failure Analysis

Main Responsibilities:
• Support mechanical sample preparation for electronic packaging and semiconductor manufacturing processes
• Assist the Failure Analysis team in performing non-destructive physical failure and construction analysis
• Perform mechanical cross-section preparation and both basic and advanced FA equipment such as acoustic microscopy, X-ray inspections, XRF, optical microcopy and laser scanning microscopy
• Record findings of the analysis, perform data analysis and prepare reports related to support tasks

Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in Material Science, Physics, Electronic Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field at a University or University of Applied Sciences
• Basic knowledge in laboratory environment and tools, e.g. optical microscopy
• Hands-on experience in working in a laboratory and a willingness to engage in practical tasks
• Familiarity with basic data analysis with Excel
• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis, and data visualization
