Effective Thesis is a non-profit initiative helping students align their theses and dissertations with high-impact global issues. We’ve supported over 2,000 students worldwide, many from leading universities including Oxford, Cambridge, and UCL, in developing research that contributes to pressing global challenges.

Applications are now available for our Specialist Fellowship!

Fellows will apply to a specific pre-vetted research project that matches their interests and then develop it into their final-year thesis over 3 months. Fellows will collaborate with leading experts while receiving tailored support from the Effective Thesis team.

Current Fellowship Projects (Open for Applications):
We are currently offering a variety of research tracks addressing critical global challenges. Students can now apply to work on research with some of the following high-impact organizations, such as:
Happier Lives Institute – Contribute to research on mental wellbeing interventions to identify the most cost-effective charities for improving global happiness.
Centre for Exploratory Altruism Research (CEARCH) – Conducting cause prioritization research in global health and development.
Animal Ask – Contribute to projects involving animal protection policies and animal welfare legislation.
Acción Transformadora (ACTRA) – Assessing violence prevention interventions in Latin America.
